About Transition Buxton

Transition Buxton
We are a group of local people concerned about our environment and keen to do everything we can locally to increase our resilience and reduce our damaging impact on the health of the natural infrastructure on which all life depends.

Why should we care?

Because climate change and depleting resources will make our lives increasingly difficult … unless we start to change the way we live now.

The idea of Transition is for people to work together with others on projects that will help the community to thrive as we adapt to new ways of living within the capacity of our natural resources and climate change. Anyone who lives or works in Buxton and the surrounding catchment area can be a member of Transition Buxton CIC.

In this section you will find information and links about:

  • Why Transition Buxton exists;
  • Who we are;
  • How we govern and communicate amongst our group of passionate environmental and community activists.
