Spend Less Smile More - Become Greener

'SPEND LESS SMILE MORE' 15TH OCTOBER 2011

The day went really well and was great fun. Big thanks to all who attended and helped. Lots of happy children went home with puppets they'd made in the Funny Wonders workshops and the cafe did a roaring trade.

Thanks to some generous donations the Trust Jumble went down a storm and the fresh pressed apple juice was sweet and lovely. Connie Consumasaurus sends special thanks to the team who towed her to and from the venue, she enjoyed her day out.

Peak Organics provided the initial stimulus to the senses with the great colour of locally grown vegetables and the aroma from their cooking of this produce. You can find them on http://peakorganics.org.uk/ if you want lessons in allotment growing or how to cook your produce.

 For the those interested in textiles, Derbyshire Eco Centre gave demonstrations of spinning; Helen Jagger demonstrated bag-making and Hannah Laycock gave us a great fashion show of up-cycled clothes.
